Meet Marley Dias!
Fun Fact: Marley created a social support network called “BAM” with her friends Amina and Briana.
Why She’s Nominated: In fifth grade, Marley decided she was sick of reading books about “white boys and dogs,” so she decided to take representation into her own hands. She started a movement to collect 1,000 books with black girls as the main characters to donate. She now has 4,000 and counting, and spoke alongside First Lady Michelle Obama and other major leaders at the White House “State of Women” Summit.
